Your result:

approval gap

You know what you think. You have your values, your convictions and things you actually stand for.

But somewhere between what you know deep down is true for you and what you dare to express in front of others, you start compromising.

You think about how it will land. Who might get provoked. Who will misunderstand you. Who might unfollow you.

And suddenly it's no longer your own conviction deciding what you say. It's your idea of what other people will think.

This is how it shows up

You have an opinion about something in your industry. But instead of saying it clearly, you write something everyone can agree with.

You add explanations, disclaimers and apologies that don't actually need to be there.

You say "this is just my opinion" when what you really want to say is "this is what I believe".

You might even change your mind in public, not because you've gained new insight, but because someone reacted negatively.

And sometimes you simply don't say anything at all.

You've become so good at not making others uncomfortable that you've started making yourself smaller.

What it costs you

This isn't just a feeling. It has a price.

Clarity.

When you try to phrase things so that no one reacts, it gets hard for people to understand what you actually stand for.

Trust.

People don't need to agree with you on everything to trust you. But they need to understand what you believe and why.

Uniqueness.

Your perspectives, convictions and experiences are part of what makes your brand personal. When you tone them down, your message becomes easier to mistake for everyone else's.

Energy.

Trying to predict and control other people's reactions is work that never ends. Because no matter how much you adapt, you can't guarantee that everyone will like what you say.

You can be as clear as you want about who you are. It still doesn't mean everyone will agree with you. And they don't have to.

How it changes

This doesn't change by being provocative for the sake of it or by simply not caring what other people think.

Authenticity is about congruence. Who you are and who you show others actually match.

You don't need to win everyone's approval. You need to close the gap between what you actually believe and what you dare to stand for.

And this is how it happens:

Get clear on what you actually think

(before you start wondering how others will react)

↓

Say it in your own words

(without automatically softening or apologizing for where you stand)

↓

Let others have their reactions

(even when they don't agree with you)

↓

Stand by what you meant

(without changing your mind right away to win back their approval)

↓

Repeat

Every time, you give yourself a new experience: I can stand for what I believe, even when others see it differently.

That doesn't mean you should never listen, reconsider or change your mind. It means you start telling the difference between changing your opinion because you actually learned something and changing it to escape the discomfort of someone disagreeing.

Your gap isn't your identity

This isn't a diagnosis. And it doesn't mean you only have one gap.

Most people recognize themselves in several of the patterns. Your result shows which one stands out most in your answers right now.

But understanding your pattern isn't the same as changing it.

Awareness and insight are the beginning. Change takes action, and now it's time to create it.

That's why I created

The Gap Camp

For 21 days, we turn insight into action, straight into your business.

All you need is 15–20 minutes a day.

Every day you get a short challenge that helps you break old patterns and show more of yourself in your content, your visibility and your sales.

You don't need another course on authenticity. You need to experience what it feels like to be fully yourself, even when others are watching. And above all, you need to experience what it feels like to stand firm in who you are, even when you don't get everyone's approval.

When you stop trying to be right for everyone, it also gets easier for the right people to understand who you are, what you stand for and whether they want to work with you.

21 DAYS. 21 REPS. ONE DEGREE MORE YOU EVERY DAY.

We start Monday, November 2.

Doors close November 1.
